Who are we?
GD Electrical Services Ltd was established as an electrical contractor in 1993 in Minehead, Somerset. In September 2010 we were approved to diversify into the installation of solar photovoltaic panels by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). We now trade under the name GD Electrical & Solar to reflect the current services we offer. GD Electrical & Solar is a team of qualified, professional and friendly staff who pride themselves on high quality workmanship. Accreditations
Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS)
GD Electrical & Solar are approved solar pv installers by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), our registration number is NAP 13850. The MCS is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme. Being a member demonstrates that our company is committed to meeting tested standards for the quality of both our installations and the products we supply. Using an MCS accredited installer also means that you can claim the Feed-in-tariff.
REAL Assurance Scheme
As a member of REAL, GD Electrical & Solar have agreed to comply with the REAL Assurance Scheme Consumer Code. This code is backed by the Office of Fair Trading. The Consumer Code and other guidance documents on the REAL website are designed to help consumers get advice on generation solutions without being subjected to negative marketing/sales tactics, and to ensure high standards of service before, during and after a contract is agreed. The Consumer Code links closely with the MCS installer and product certification scheme. Both of these are run by the Licensee, Gemserv, on behalf of Government.
Sanyo Solar Premium Installer
GD Electrical & Solar are accredited members of the Sanyo Solar Premium Installer Programme which allows quality installers to stand out from the crowd and provide customers with trust and peace of mind. The programme offers a direct connection with Sanyo for installers which ensures they are aware of new technologies and are able to develop the best solutions for clients.
NICEIC Approved Contractor
Being accredited as an Approved Contractor by the NICEIC means that GD Electrical & Solar is able to self certify electrical work with building regulations under competent persons schemes, including part P for commercial installations.
NICEIC Domestic Installer
Being approved by the NICEIC as a domestic installer means that GD Electrical & Solar are able to self certify electrical work with building regulations under competent persons scheme, including Part P for domestic installations
